The full moon in the month of September 2022 occurs on September 10th at 3:29 pm IST and 5:59 am EST.
At this time the planet mercury (seemingly) turns retrograde, initiating a time of reversals, renewals, reunions, revisions, returns, repairs etc… for the next three weeks. All matters relating to communication would tend to go back and forth with changes being inevitable in some cases.
As this period denotes a time of culminations and conclusions, for some it may indicate the end of a phase while, for others, a sense of loss may prevail. This would be due to the current planetary alignments.
On the health front, an ambiguity continues to exist. One would be wise to continue to take the necessary precautions.
On another note, this being a very sensitive time for most… the senses are heightened and the spiritual side of life, enhanced.
Simultaneously, on a brighter note, the full moon alignment makes this time period favourable for innovations and changes, especially in relation to one’s work, monetary matters, earnings, sustenance etc.
This month of September also focuses on family matters and responsibilities, including the mother and the mothering energy of taking care of near and dear ones.
Additionally, this is also a time conducive to reuniting or resolving one’s relationships, to make amends and to make peace with those in one’s life.
On a lighter note, this month of September is a great month to try out new cuisines and recipes and experience the joy of creating and sharing good, wholesome, nutritious food with one another…
The Taittiriya Upanishad, on food, states –
“From the Atman (soul) was born akasa (ether/sky); from akasa, air; from air, fire; from fire, water; from water, earth; from earth, herbs; from herbs, food; from food, man. He, that man, verily consists of the essence of food…”
(Taittiriya Upanishad – ch I )
“All beings that rest on the earth are born verily from food. Besides, they live on food, and at the end, they get merged in food. Food was verily born before all creatures; therefore it is called the medicine for all, those who worship food as Brahman acquire all the food…”
(Taittiriya Upanishad – ch II –
Published by Advaita Ashram, Kolkatta)
Thus, may we pray, at this time, that no one goes deprived of food, and that all beings on earth are able to ‘acquire all the food’ that will help them to live and ‘grow’…
